With its nearly 60 members, the Chapleau Anglers and Hunters Club, Inc. is affiliated with the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters and included in its Zone C, the club's involvement includes:

- Improvements to the fishing access restrictions in the Chapleau district
- Fish stocking
- Habitat rehabilitation
- Wild rice planting
- Annual Fishing Derby (June)
- Grant programs, Local citizens' committees
- Access brushing and cleanup projects
- Government lobbying (e.g. Spring black bear hunt)
- Gun registration
